Category:MalwareThe Democratic Party’s Failure The Democrats don’t have a monopoly on speaking ill of the Trump Administration. Nor do they have any special insight on how to respond to that speech. They’re just as bad as Republicans, as Amy Goodman pointed out when she noted that President Trump “is not the first president to be accused of collusion with Russia, just the first to admit it.” There’s no doubt that both parties are pushing the blame on Russia and the Trump Administration in an attempt to deflect criticism of their own inadequate responses to Hillary Clinton’s emails. In recent weeks, many Democrats, like the media, have tried to claim that there was in fact collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russians. This is, of course, just a baseless smear against the President, which is why it’s not helped by the fact that Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez just accused the Russians of hacking the DNC during the 2016 election. At the same time, the Trump Administration has been seeking to have the intelligence community declassify a lot of information about Russian involvement. The President himself has spoken about it often. Unfortunately, the resistance within the Intelligence Community, some of which has been reported in the media, appears to be leading the Administration to back off. With so many negative stories about the Trump Administration, the Democrats seem to have the Republicans beat in the public’s perception. But are they really? The most recent Gallup poll showed Trump with a 41% favorable rating compared to 46% unfavorable. The Gallup poll also found that a majority of Americans say they approve of the way Trump is handling the job of President. Polls don’t necessarily reflect the realities of the day-to-day experience of the public. For example, an NBC poll taken in the midst of the primary season showed that Trump was receiving his best approval rating ever at that time. Yet, his popularity never really recovered in the eyes of the public. On the other hand, his disapproval rate was always higher than his approval rating at any time during the campaign. In fact, more Americans disapproved of his performance in the Oval Office than approved of it from the moment he took office. There’s no doubt that both parties are pushing the blame on Russia and the Trump Administration in an attempt to deflect criticism of their own inadequate responses to Hillary Clinton’s emails. But the truth is
